What have I been doing?...................................This!
Ok, this was a job from a little while back but still want to share it with you.
Last year Jackie Chat contacted me to have some shots taken for his new EP "N.I.N.D" (no its not dead).
It didnt take long to realise we pretty much had exactly the same ideas after a brief....brief. I had seen and heard some of his earlier stuff and knew exactly what he was about and what he had in mind, it pays to research!
The shoot took place in an old warehouse in Exeter, surround by graffiti and a host of intriguing and sometimes bizarre items.....it made an ideal location for this and many shoots to come.
The theme was "stick to the shadows"
Jackie Chat - N.I.N.D is available to download now, check out his site jackiechat.com for further details and download.

So, the time had come once again for many a man to "attempt" to grow some fuzz on their face in the name of charity. Now don't get me wrong, I would have a go, if I didn't end up looking like a french darts player (not sure there are any).
Then there is Lee Timms (becoming a bit of a star on the blog). But this time we had a good reason for a shoot, to capture his rather fine effort grown throughout the month of November.
I said bring some clothes, so he pulled out his Sunday best and we sort of winged it...
Then he took his top off....and shit got crazy!
Lee took quite well to being a bit of a psycho, he looked the part, he certainly got into character.
I have revisited these shots and had a little mess around with textures.....you can find more from the shoot HERE, see what you think!
Oh and thanks Lee :)
25th January 2013 saw a fantastic line up of local musicians play the Lemon Grove here in Exeter. I was fortunate enough to have access to all areas, giving me the opportunity to capture the night as it unravelled to a thumping set by Adam Isaac.
The line-up featured.....
To The Woods
Check out their facebook page for more info and some videos of them performing HERE
The super talented Richard James
We 3 Kings
I Am hopefully going to be working with these guys a lot more. Amazing musicians and top blokes! Check out how easy they make it all look HERE
And of course, Adam Isaac and the Band
They didn't waste any time turning it up to 11, if you get a chance to see Adam perform I strongly recommend it, you would think he was a life long veteran the way he worked the stage, the crowd and those guitars oh and my ears....that'll teach me!

I managed to persuade my friend Lee to be my model as I wanted to try out some strobe techniques during the day. He kindly agreed so we settled on a cold Sunday morning on Exeter's quay.
There wasn't really a theme, just 2 strobes, a soft box and a snoot.

Just recently I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work with Leigh Coleman. Leigh is an unbelievably talented musician/singer who is a resident at Mama Stones in Exeter, just recently he supported Joss Stone and Jeff Beck at the club (which I was fortunate enough to have attended) :)
It's shoots like these that make me love what I do. The location for the shoot was Exeter Castle, a fantastic "Blank Canvas" of a venue which offered plenty of space and light to get creative. Leigh would spontaneously break out into song during the day, like shooting an intimate gig with only a few very privileged guests....days don't get much better than this...
These were taken ahead of his UK tour which is currently in full flow, more details about the Tour and Leigh on his Facebook page HERE.

Thanks to Sarah at Mama Stones and of course Mike Slater for his top assistance once again :)
I love the city I have spent my life in and I hope to share the very best of it on in my blog. Keep checking back for updates and remember If you want any of the prints then the option to purchase is there.

For my wife's birthday I arranged a surprise little trip away with friends to The Cotswolds. Over the weekend we popped into Oxford which architecturally was very impressive, but it didn't really do it for me.
We did see some stunning little villages on our journey but Bibury stood out the most...trapped in the past and oozing with charm. Well worth a visit for a stroll and lunch (and of course a decent beer) in The Swan pub.
